A women group in the Catholic Church, the Madonna Sisters Circle has honoured Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN for his consistent support to the group in the course of discharging their functions in the service of God and the Church.
In a brief ceremony in Calabar recently, the group’s leader, Dr. Theresa Osaji, who came in the company of another member, Dr. Mrs. Margaret Opia, extolled the virtues of Senator Ndoma-Egba as a giver, especially to causes that advance the Catholic faith and promote the well being of the people.
She expressed the group’s gratitude for the long years of consistent support they have enjoyed from the Senator, adding that such support, especially the sponsorship of the radio broadcast of the Angelus has helped in calling devotees to prayer and to spread goodwill to everyone.
In his response, Senator Ndoma-Egba thanked the group for their show of gratitude and solidarity. He expressed his delight that his modest contributions have been so recognized by the group and promised to do more.
The Madonna Sisters Circle is one of women groups/families which undertake the propagation of the role of the revered Virgin Mary as the intercessor to mankind.
