Senior Civil Servants demand credible, transparent privatization of enterprises in Cross River

Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) Cross River State branch has demanded for credible and transparent process of the privatization of private and public enterprises by state government.


The State Executive Committee of the association made the call in a communique issued at it meeting held in Calabar and jointly signed by its Chairman, Monday Ogbodum and Secretary, Clarkson Otu.


The association also endorsed the position of the National Executive Committee on the expulsion of the erstwhile National President, Bola Audu.


It equally supported and commended the NEC for affirming Tommy Okon as the substantial National President of the association.


ASCSN reached the following resolutions in a communique jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Monday Ogbodum and the Secretary, Clàrkson Otu at the end of it’s meeting held in Calabar recently. 


It however commended the Organized Labour for rejecting what it described as unlawful payment of N25,000 by Directors to the Head of Service for the Permanent Secretaries competitive exam.


The meeting also called on the Labour to rise up to the plight of workers in the state, by ensuring that pending issues affecting workers are addressed.


Other issues raised at the meeting is quick implementation of workers welfare by the state Governor, Senator Ben Ayade.
