Ndoma-Egba Inspects New Law Faculty Building In UNICAL, Thumbs Up Progress Of Work

Former Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN has commended the pace of work at the new Law Faculty Building, University of Calabar (UNICAL).

A release from the media unit of Senator Ndoma-Egba said he visited the University on March 15, 2022 to inspect the new Faculty of Law building, a project he facilitated.
 The former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC),
was received at the project site by the Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Cyril Ndifon, the Sub Dean, Dr Gabriel Inyang, the Faculty Officer Mr Omang Robert as well as the project contractor, Mr Tawo Etta who conducted him round the three storey building containing four lecture halls each with 300 seating capacity, and offices for the principal officers and lecturers in the Faculty.  

He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of work and urged the contractor to ensure that completion deadlines are met and standards maintained.

The Senator stated that the project is one of his legacy projects, which he initiated in both the Universities of Calabar and Lagos revealing that the intention is to make the Unical Law Faculty the best in Nigeria in terms of infrastructure and facilities. 

He expressed delight that the project has not become one of the very many abandoned projects in the country and commended the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Florence Obi, the Dean of Law, Prof. Ndifon and others for the innovative leadership that the University is currently enjoying.

Responding, Prof. Ndifon thanked Senator Ndoma-Egba for facilitating the project noting that the building is the largest in the University.
