‘Loud Rotation’ Debuts in Calabar as Young Artists Hold Audience Spellbound

The first edition of Loud Rotation, which kicked off in Calabar on Monday 27th of December 2021, has been described as capable of helping young people discover and making good use of their  talents.
Our reporter gathered that the event was put togerher by Free Smoke Network and Backyard terrace with support from Thomas Andrew and  Cross River Youth Voters Alliance.
The Project Director, Effiong Nyong, who addressed the young artists, enjoined them to see the Loud Rotation as a means of respect for young people hence the choice of meeting them at their comfort zone.
Nyong said staging the event during the Yuletide saeson was aimed at getting their attention so as to stir up their political consciousness, noting that more of such events would be unfolding in the months ahead.
The PillarToday reports that the event saw over 30 of the very best artists in the city perform live.
Tigerman and Slimfresh, known as TigermAniez reformed the ‘Sosongo Abasi’ of the new EP titled ‘love and hate’ which was released on Christmas day.
Another artist, Texzy was also on hand to thrill the crowd with an amazing performance of his ‘Yes Now’ freestyle. The ladies were not left out as Valentina Lizzie, Firegirl and Anyi Vee left the crowd at backyard in awe.
Others who also performed were Challex Boss, Trxy the Villain, the wonderful pair of Exit and Browno (Woi National), Shenkex, Utanii, Swaggaman, Killaboi Czar, Tushi Gucci Lacasablanca. The evening left the crowd wanting more.
