An All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River state High Chief Henry Onwe, has lauded the state governor, Senator Bassey Otu, the APC National Campaign Council for delivering Chief Hope Uzodinma, candidate of the party in the election.
Speaking with news men in Calabar shortly after the declaration of Chief Uzodima as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Chief Onwe said, the sterling leadership abilities of Senator Otu are consistent with the victory he wrought in elections and political activities which stands him out as the right choice in leading the party to victory.
“Senator Prince Bassey Otu is an excellent mind and highly experienced in electrical matters that makes him the prime choice to lead our great party to harvest electoral fortunes.
“His was the right choice to lead the APC National Campaign Council for Imo State by the leadership of our party and that was quite strategic and classic” Chief Onwe told newsmen
Onwe who is the Coordinator, Rural Roads Rehabilitation and Agricultural Marketing Agency (RAAMP) in the state,said Chief Uzodinma is a man of integrity with purposeful leadership qualities and has absolute commitment to the cause of the party and a patriotic who is committed to the development of Nigeria which is why his victory was seamless in the election.
“Beyound party affiliation, Chief Uzodinma has accounted himself as a great leader for the people of Imo state and on that score deserves to be returned as governor and Prince Otu was rightly selected to lead the APC in revalidating his mandate and Otu has achieved that and he deserves accolades for actualising that mandate”, he said.
Chief Onwe congratulated Uzodinma in his victory saying, it is well deserved and called on him to continue the good works he has been doing in Imo as he runs his second tenure as “you brought fresh air to the land of Imo which is why the people did not hesitate in re-electing you to lead them in the next four years. I pray God to give you the wisdom, right direction and divine health to continue to govern and take your state to the next level”.
He said Uzodima has shown nobility, commitment and consistency in leading Imo state in the direction of greatness and expressed confidence that the next four years will bring more progress and development to Imo state.
