The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN) has declared Sunday June 26, 2022 as PVC Sunday across the country.

The Chairman, PFN, Cross River State, Dr Lawrence Ekwok told newsmen in yesterday in Calabar that the decision was taken on June 16 after the National Executive Committee meeting in Lagos.

All members of the Pentecostal Churches are to attend service on that day with their Permanent Voters Cards.

The church leadership will also ensure that statistics of those with their voters cards are taken and forwarded to the the state chairmen, who will in turn forward the statistics to the national office.

He said that “Ministers of the PFN churches are also asked to use the PVCs and pray for Nigeria and the forthcoming elections in particular, after which a communion service will take place”.

The National leadership has also directed that all PFN ministers should ensure that they mobilize their members who are up to the voting age to register to vote.

Ekwok added that the PFN has constituted a National committee that will advise the leadership of the fellowship on the candidates to vote for in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Meanwhile, Ekwok had declared that the PFN will mobilise over one million viewers for the governorship election in Cross River to show effective participation in the country’s democracy.
