The Ministry of Agriculture in Akwa Ibom State today fulfilled the pledge of the Hon Commissioner to support the State Chapter of the National Coconut Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria with 100 seedlings of Malaysian Dwarf Coconut for its Model Farm.
Chapter Secretary, Mfon Akpabio, who collected the seedlings at the expansive Ibom Greenhouse at the Victor Attah International Airport conveyed the appreciation of the National President, Dr Nma Okoroji, State Chapter Chairman, Prince Kingsley Isong, and the entire members of NACOPPMAN to the Hon Commissioner and the State Government for this valued gesture of support.
He commended Governor Udom Emmanuel over the Greenhouse project and its effect on food security and price stability, and reiterated the readiness of NACOPPMAN to support the vision of the Governor to make the State the Coconut Capital of Nigeria.
