The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has charged bikers in the 2023 carnival festival celebration to always make safety their watchword as the embark on their activities .

While flagging off the bikers carnival on December 29, he assured all that the activity will be conducted safely and admonished gang leaders to co-opt safety and security measures to guard against incidents.

While appealing to be excused from the 2023 Bikers parade, the Deputy Governor assured that both himself and the Governor, Senator Bassey Otu would participate fully in the next edition of the Bikers Carnival.

Speaking earlier, Chairman Carnival Commission, Mr Gabe Onah stated that the bikers carnival “is an effort to identify with tourists and visitors with expendable income who impact much on the economy”.

He admonished gang leaders and bikers to ensure a true leisure ride and maintain safety as their watchword by using appropriate gadgets before prying the routes.
