Cross River State Labour Party (LP) Chairman, Amb. Patriarch Ogar Osim has declared that Nigeria has only one authentic presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
Briefing Journalists at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre of the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ), Calabar Wednesday, he said Peter Obi of the LP is the only genuine certificate standing and other presidential candidates are just fillers as they have lots of questionable issues like corruption, poor health, old age and others around them.
Osim said that Obi is the only candidate in the face whose health, academic records and health does not need to be ascertained or defended and he has all what it takes to put back on track Nigeria’s epileptic economy that is almost comatose.
He said “Peter Obi has everything that Nigerians need in a leader that will change the sorry state of our country
“He is the best among the best. He is the only candidate in the race that you don’t need a team of Doctors to ascertain his state of health, neither do we need a team of lawyers to defend his academic records or his source of wealth”. Osim said.
Osim described Obi’s ambition as being beyond politics stressing that his ambition is a divine movement rooted in God Almighty for Nigeria and “no amount of scheming against him will work because Obi represents freedom and greatness for this country” .
The LP Chairman stressed that the party is determined to win in the forthcoming elections, soliciting the support of the media in sensitizing people to get their PVCs and vote the party at the polls so that Nigerians can enjoy the natural resources and blessings which the nation is so endowed with.
On his part , the Coordinator for Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council in the State and former University of Calabar Vice Chancellor, Prof James Ekpoke stated that with Obi Nigerians afford to have hope.
Ekpoke who said he studied at same tertiary Institution with Obi, stated that right from the time when Obi exited office as state chief executive of Anambra state, and left some billions in the government’s coffers, no man has ever beaten that record in the country.
Ekpoke said, “Peter Obi is a saviour, now we have a genius coming out. With the terrible corruption that has kept us where we are and his record in public service, it behoves on us to follow that person. We stand firm to plead with Nigerians to join hands and rescue this country”.
The former Unical VC faulted the allegation by the NNPP presidential candidate Musa Kwankwaso claiming that Peter Obi has an ethnic agenda stressing that the Kwankwaso’s allegation is the greatest fallacy of our time.
