Akwa Ibom State Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, has extolled the President, Akwa Ibom Elderly Citizens Assembly (AKECA), Mkpisong Ememobong Essien, describing him as an accomplished man, a thorough bred and a disciplinarian of note.
Mr. Archibong, who joined numerous well wishers and notable Senior citizens in the State to celebrate Obong Essien on attainment of 80 years, while speaking on the life and times of Obong Essien, said the revered leader is somebody who has given his best to the development of Akwa Ibom State.
“Mkpisong Ememobong Essien, is a man of peace, one who is given to reasonable arguments and would do everything possible to ensure that peace is enshrined everywhere he finds himself”. Frank stated.
The Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs boss, acknowledged that great testament of who Obong Essien is, is symbolically reflected in his son, Comrade Ini Ememobong, whom he said can never back down as far as justice is concerned.
He added that the people of Akwa Ibom will continue to benefit from his wise counsel and fountain of knowledge while, imploring the younger generation to ensure they align themselves with people in the mould of Obong Ememobong Essien, saying that by so doing, their tomorrow will be better and would have good remarks as it is done to the leader of AKECA today.
Mr. Archibong, further joined in wishing the celebrant a long life in sound health.
