Former Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN has committed to assist the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ogoja Branch in Cross River State to complete its Bar Centre project building.

The Senator made the commitment on July 8, 2022 during an inspection visit to the project site located within the premises of the High Court Complex in Ogoja.

The project was conceived and started by Justice E.A Ubua of the Cross River State Judiciary during his tenure as the Chairman of the NBA Ogoja Branch in 2011 to 2012.

It is named as the Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba, JCA Bar Centre in memory of Senator Ndoma- Egba’s father. Late Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba who was the first indigenous lawyer to establish his practice in Ogoja in 1970, immediately after the Nigerian Civil War.

Owing to the difficulty of completing the project, the former Senate Leader has graciously promised the Branch that the Ndoma-Egba family will complete it.

His visit was to appraise the extent of work done and on hand to receive him were the Chairman of the NBA Ogoja Branch- Lazarus Izabi- Undie, former Chairman of the Branch- Marc Enamhe and Executive Committee members of the branch.
