Cross River FRSC deploys 315 personnel for Special Sallah Patrol

To ensure an accident free Eid El Kabir, the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Cross River command has commenced a special Sallah patrol with the deployment of 315 staff and four equipment to cover five routes.

A statement from the State’s Sector Commander, Mr. Ocheja Ameh said the special patrol will involve staff deployment of 216 regulars, 18 for traffic control, 27 for rescue and 54 Special Marshall’s covering various routes.

He said in terms of equipment, three patrol vehicles and one heavy duty tow truck will be used for the special Sallah patrol in the state.

The Public Education Officer  of the Command, Mr. Mark Ajuka explained that the special patrol started on July 16 and will end on July 25 and the five routes are Calabar —  Odukpani, Calabar — Ikang, Odukpani.–Itu, Odukpani — Akamkpa and Odukpani.– Calabar. 

He advised motorists to drive carefully considering the festive period and ensure safety of their lives and that of other road users.
